CONSERVATION OF MANGROVE FOREST VIA COMMUNITY BASED EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Conservation of Mangrove Forest via Community Based Educational Activities for Sustainable Development is a project conducted by the School of Education Studies, Universiti Sains Malaysia in cooperation with Japan- Malaysia Association, Japan. It is an extension from the first project entitled ESD Activities for Rehabilitating Mangrove Forest in Cooperation with Local Communities at Merbok Mangrove Reserve Kedah, Malaysia. The main aim of this project is to develop mangrove restoration sites at various places and to educate and enhance the awareness of members of the society on the importance of mangrove forests particularly to the livelihood of the aquatic animals, surrounding villages communities and the environment.
